Our Approach

Hi my name is Emily Morse and my husband Josh Morse and I will be your guides. Josh and I have two great kids Henry (8) and Hailey (5) who are our world. We love to take them on the water so they can experience what we love so much. We also have two dogs that enjoy the boat as well 🙂

Josh and I have both grown up in Harpswell and were on the water before we could walk. We cant wait to share the area and show you why we love it so much!

About Josh

Josh is a 4th generation Harpswell commercial fisherman, having spent a lot of time in the Gulf of Maine. He has participated in many different fisheries, from scalloping off Chatham, Massachusetts to herring seining off Bar Harbor. No matter where his travels have taken him, his heart has always remained in Harpswell. That is where his feet are firmly planted now.

Josh attended college at The Boat School in Eastport Maine. Here he acquired many skills in the building and repair of both wooden and composite boats. He has put these acquired skills to good use, doing major topside rebuilds of two of our boats, one in 2015 and one in 2017.

If you are in the area for a while be sure to go check out Josh's parents food truck Morse's. They have amazing food and something for everyone from burgers and salads to seafood.

About Emily

I am also from a commercial fishing family, both my mother and father are commercial fisherman. I first started on the water in Harpswell at three months old. I went lobstering with my mother, in a crib my grandfather made for her lobster boat. I have remained in commercial fishing my entire life, from lobstering and wild oyster harvesting, to clamming. I have participated in just about all the fisheries Harpswell has to offer. Unlike some guides you will find, I don't do this as a hobby. Guiding is my full time job. I am on the water everyday keeping track of where the fish are, and what baits they are biting.

Our Goal

Josh and I can't wait to take you on a trip, that you won't soon forget. Whether you choose to go striper fishing, have a family fun day or a sunset cruise with a glass of wine, our goal is for you to have an unforgettable trip, that you want to tell all your friends about.

We put a huge emphasis on safety because no trip is fun if it's not safe! We are always sure to have up to date and good working equipment. Breakdowns are no fun and neither is fishing with inferior gear. If you come on a trip with us, we guarantee you won't have to worry about anything but enjoying yourself. Josh and I are both Registered Maine Guides, USCG Master 100 Ton Captains and have CPR and First Aid Training.
